THE MYSTERIES
The Dagger Club: The discovery of a posthumous novel by a bestselling writer triggers a maelstrom of mayhem and murder. After the manuscript goes missing and a villager turns up dead, Barnaby is tasked with investigating a murderer with literary motives.
Murder by Magic: A magic show goes tragically awry after a pub landlord is killed. Barnaby and Nelson discover that the village is full of tension between the church and a group of local pagans.
The Ballad of Midsomer County: The Little Crosby Folk Festival is transformed into a crime scene after the organizer is found drowned in a bowl of eels. Barnaby and Nelson discover that his death seems to be inspired by a classic song, “The Ballad of Midsomer County.” As the detectives investigate, more bodies turn up, each murder inspired by a song lyric.
A Vintage Murder: Barnaby investigates a local winery after the house vintage is found to be poisoned. The detective discovers that the toxic tasting may be related to the death of a child in a hit-and-run accident near the vineyard.
